Properties Department

Properties Designer/Supervisor and Assistant Scenic Designer - position closed

May 16 arrive / July 5 depart 

$3,500 stipend / $400 travel / single occupancy dorm housing  / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Will work closely with the Scenic Designer in the design, construction, or acquisition of all properties for the four-show rotating repertory season
● Will assist with the organizing and maintaning the properties budget, build and deadline schedule
● Will supervise the properties department: consisting of the properties artisan, and three properties interns (painting interns assist when not needed in the paint department)
● Will assist and support the scenic designer in the design of the four show repertory; assist in establishing specific expectations for the production process and design documentation
● Will construct finished scenic models for the four shows for possible exhibition

Properties Artisan - position closed

May 20 arrive / August 3 depart 
$3,500 stipend / $350 travel / double occupancy dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Coordinating with the Properties Designer in the construction or acquisition of all properties for the four-show rotating repertory season, the children’s show, and any auxiliary productions
● Performing all duties within the parameters of the allotted budget and production schedule
● Serving on the properties running and change-over crew
● Assisting with company strike
● Participating in opening night discussions

Properties Interns - position closed

May 20 arrive / August 3 depart 
$1,250 stipend / double occupancy dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Note: Properties Interns are assigned primarily to the properties department, but may also be reassigned, as needed, to other technical areas.

Responsible for:

● Assisting the Properties Artisan in building or acquiring all props for all productions
● Serving on properties running and change-over crews
● Performing other technical duties as deemed necessary
● Assisting with company strike
● Participating in opening night discussions
