The Guild was founded in 1994 to support the Texas Shakespeare Festival. Anyone interested in the promotion, support, and well-being of the Texas Shakespeare Festival is eligible for annual membership. As the volunteer arm of the Texas Shakespeare Festival Foundation, the Guildhas members from far and near who provide meals for the company, serve as ushers and greeters, purchase festival wish list items, and much more.
As a member of the Guild you receive a subscription to The Stratford Tribune, the Guild newsletter, and you are invited to special Festival events during the year. You are also allowed to purchase tickets for the Festival before they are made available to the public, insuring choice seating.
There are four levels of memberships:
Associate Membership has a little hight price that allows Associate Members to support and participate in the Guild without having the reasponsibility of providing volunteer hours to the Guild. Associate Members are encouraged to purchase tickets to at least two or more of the performances per season and may participate in volunteer activities.
