Scenic Designer - position closed

May 16 arrive / July 5 depart
$7,000 stipend / $400 travel / private dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Designing all scenic elements for a four-show rotating repertory season
● Working with the properties designer in the implementation of all properties
● Supplying all drawings and models or renderings for the four designs
●Working within the allotted budget and production schedule
● Attending, when requested, public relations events: media day, post-show discussions, interviews, and presentations.
● Participating in opening night discussions

Properties Designer/Supervisor and Assistant Scenic Designer - position closed

May 16 arrive / July 5 depart
$3,500 stipend / $400 travel / private dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Will work closely with the Scenic Designer in the design, construction, or acquisition of all properties for the four-show rotating repertory season
● Will assist with the organizing and maintaning the properties budget, build and deadline schedule
● Will supervise the properties department: consisting of the properties artisan, and three properties interns (painting interns assist when not needed in the paint department)
● Will assist and support the scenic designer in the design of the four show repertory; assist in establishing specific expectations for the production process and design documentation
● Will construct finished scenic models for the four shows for possible exhibition

Kyle Ransbottom, MFA candidate at Purdue University, will serve as the Properties Designer and Assistant Scenic Designer for 2016 four-show repertory season

 

Costume Designer - position closed

May 20 arrive / July 5 depart

$5,000 stipend / $400 travel / private dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Designing all costumes, accessories, hairstyles, and specialty makeup for two of the four repertory shows
● Providing color renderings for possible exhibition
● Working within the allotted budget and production schedule
● Purchasing all fabrics, trims, and accessories in coordination with the Costume Shop Manager
● Accounting for all expenditures
● Consulting with the cutters/drapers about patterns and construction methods
● Attending first read-throughs, fittings, production meetings, and dress rehearsals
● Serving as the primary craftsperson, dyer, milliner, and wig stylist on their two productions
● Generating all show-related paperwork, including actor/scene charts, dressing lists, quick-change lists, etc.
● Attending, when requested, public relations events: media day, post-show discussions, interviews, and presentations
● Participating in opening night discussions

Lighting Designer - - position closed

May 20 arrive / July 5 depart
$5,000 stipend / $400 travel / private dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Designing, creating, and documenting all lighting effects for the main four-show repertory
● Supervising all personnel and work within the lighting department
● Working within the allotted budget and production schedule
● Accounting for all expenditures

● Attending, when requested, public relations events: media day, post-show discussions, interviews, and presentations
● Participating in opening night discussions 

We are pleased to announce that  Kevin Allinder will return for his 2nd season and serve as  Lighting Designer  for The Merchant of Venice, Blithe Spirit, Henry V, and Carousel. 

 

 

Sound Designer - position closed

$4,000 stipend / $400 travel / private dorm housing / 14 meals a week

Responsible for:

● Designing, creating, and acquiring all sound effects and music for the main four-show  repertory
● Supervising all personnel and work within the sound department
● Working within the allotted budget and production schedule
● Accounting for all expenditures
● Implementing and documenting the festival sound and video system set-up
● Attending, when requested, public relations events: media day, post-show discussions, interviews, and presentations
● Participating in opening night discussions
