The work schedule during the build is usually from 9:00 AM until 10:00 PM with an 1 1/2 hour breaks for lunch and dinner, Tuesday through Sunday. The schedule is full and fast-paced with a season that includes The Comedy of Errors, The Foreigner, The Winter’s Tale, Camelot, and a children’s show.
The electrics crew arrives on Saturday, May 18th.

The children’s show begins production and rehearsals on July 2 after the repertory season has opened. The children show opens on Wednesday, July 13 at 10:00 AM.
Electricians are assigned to at least two, but no more than three, of the shows as the light board operator or deck electrician. Electricians also serve on the light change-over crew. During the performances, Thursday through Sunday, the Festival has change-overs after each matinee and evening performances.
Although there is an immense amount of work that is required for the season TSF is dedicated to providing an environment that is both nurturing and humane and one that creates a spirit of trust, collaboration and mutual respect.
TSF Lighting Department consist of the Festival Lighting Designer, Master Electrician, an Assistant Master Electrician, and two lighting interns.
Festival Lighting Designer is responsible for designing lights, on a Festival Plot, for five shows in a six-show repertory. The Lighting Designer will provide plots and paper work for the implementation of the Lighting Design.
Master Electrician is responsible for the implementation of the Lighting Design for a six-show season and for the installation and maintenance of all lighting equipment. The ME will supervise and assign all lighting running and change-over crews. Will serve, as needed, as the light board operator for at least one show. The ME will also serve as the Lighting Designer for the children’s show.
The Assistant Master Electrician will assist in the implementation of the Lighting Design for a six-show season and for the installation and maintenance of all lighting equipment. The AME will assist on all lighting running and change-over crews. Will serve, as needed, as the light board operator for at least one show. The AME will also serve as the Master Electrician for the children’s show.
Lighting Interns are Festival Technical Interns assigned primarily to the lighting departments. They will assist the implementation of the Lighting Design for a six-show season and assist in the installation and maintenance of all lighting equipment. Interns will be assigned to the lighting running and change-over crews. Will serve, as needed, as the light board operator for at least two shows.
