The future of the Festival depends on the support of its patrons.

The dream of the Texas Shakespeare Festival at conception was neither good nor bad, but the positive thinking of artists, directors, volunteers and patrons has made it exceedingly good. The Texas Shakespeare Festival has become a premier regional attraction with international reputation under the artistic direction of founder Raymond Caldwell and the organizational skills of company director John Dodd. Thinking has made it so.

Donor support for the Texas Shakespeare Festival Foundation has ensured the Festival's longevity in East Texas and has sustained the quality of its productions. Contributions from individuals and businesses, such as you, provide the broad-based support for the TSF, and assure Kilgore College that its annual underwriting is acknowledged and matched through private donations. This cooperative effort is a valuable investment that stimulates the regional tourism economy by drawing visitors to the area. In 2009, more than 10,000 individuals individuals attended the festival and 49 percent of them traveled from further than 50 miles.

The TSF Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization with the sole purpose of supporting the Summer Festival. In 2010's stressful economic climate, the financial support of East Texans, such as you, is crucial to the continued success of the Texas Shakespeare Festival.

All donations received by June 1 will be acknowledged in the season playbill on the Friends of Shakespeare page.We thank you in advance for your consideration, and look forward to hearing from you.
